An ultra-fast, FIS-compliant finishing wax from our Elite Racing Lab R&D, Speed Sphere Race Overlay is designed for blazing fast speed out of the starting gate.  

A rub-on bar loaded with our fastest wax additives, Speed Sphere Race Overlay is your final coat after applying Wend race wax. While these thin overlays are only designed to aid in an initial burst at the start of a race, Wend knows that a fast start can make all the difference between standing on a podium or sitting at the bottom of the leader board. 

Our Speed Sphere uses ultra-high molecular density spherical additives with a large particle size and narrow distribution. The Speed Sphere additive’s larger particle size creates fewer points of contact for friction to occur. These particles also exhibit superior durability, retaining their spherical shape after repeated and extended abrasion. This helps maintain the minimal points of contact between surfaces, lowering the wax’s coefficient of friction while extending the lubrication lifespan.

Speed Sphere Race Overlay is quick to apply and the Universal formula works in a wide range from 10° to 40°F / -12° to 4°C temps with old, new, and artificial snow. Application is simple, and can be done on the hill - just rub the wax on your base, cork it, and buff the base to finish. DO NOT IRON OR HEAT! Speed Sphere Race products are limited to cold application only, as its unique make-up prohibits melting, blending and hot iron applications
